If there ever was a dreamy St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica wedding, Rex and Maria’s was IT.
I first met Rex and Maria when we got together to shoot their Magnolia St. engagement session and immediately I LOVED them! They were just a happy-go-lucky kind of couple which made shooting their session THAT much easier! After only a few minutes with them, I knew their St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica wedding would be spectacular day!
Leading up to their wedding day, I got to know Rex and Maria a little better and I heard more and more about what their vision for their wedding day would look like. Timeless, classic, and romantic. Sounds good to me!They chose the Cathedral Basilica in St. Augustine as the ceremony location and the Fountain of Youth for their reception location.
Beginning at The Collector, a lovely inn in downtown St. Augustine, I met both Rex and Maria chose to get ready there with their bridal party by their side. It was just a short walk to the Cathedral Basilica, which is a much easier task than trying to find parking between locations. If you know, you know! 🤣
It wasn’t too long after gathering the girls for some getting ready photos that we were making our way to the church for the ceremony! Even I still get butterflies eat this point in the day! So much happening so fast, so much excitement- it’s the best part of the day!
The ceremony was a whirlwind, but I’ll never forget the look on Rex’s face when Maria made her way down the aisle. It was an absolutely unforgettable first look.
After their vows were said, the couple hopped on a trolley and made their way to the reception for a night nobody will soon forget!
The energy of their reception was unlike I’ve ever felt. So much love sd positivity filled the room- it was such a pleasure to document every second of it!
