This Castle Rock Engagement session is one I’ll not soon forget!
I‘m completely spoiled by having Sarah and David in my life! Their Castle Rock engagement session was a little chilly but soooo much fun!
I met them five minutes before their session and instantly I felt like I had known them forever. We were laughing and goofing off within minutes and I knew in that very moment that this was going to be a special session. David and Sarah are seriously the SWEETEST people alive.
It was a chilly evening but these two kept plenty warm throughout our time together. They cuddled, they laughed, they kissed, and did I mention they laughed? It was such a joy to watch them interact- I’ve never seen two people so in tune with one another.
During engagement sessions I will occasionally mention to the bride to lift her chin, or reposition her hand, or another random movement to get them into the perfect pose. But with David and Sarah, I basically had the night off! They naturally align with each other and I rarely had to direct to get them posed just right. I think I squealed a few times as I glanced at the back of my camera- I just love sessions that happen organically without much (or any!) prompting.
David and Sarah met two years ago through mutual friends, and worked through the long distance dating that so many couples have to endure. Sarah eventually moved out to Colorado to be with David in June and just a few short months later, they were engaged. On their one year anniversary, David surprised her with an afternoon at a local musical theatre production and then dinner reservations in Downtown Denver.
David then treated Sarah to a trip to their favorite spot afterwards, Little Man Ice Cream.
David had designed a video containing the sweetest messages from her parents, sister and best friends. All leading up to him getting down on one knee and asking her the best question she’s ever been asked! ☺️
In Sarah’s words, “It was the most thoughtful, meaningful and unforgettable proposal!”
So excited for these two to become husband and wife this summer at The Pines at Genesee here in Colorado!
