It was an honor to photograph this Taos New Mexico Wedding!
Seth and Emily both share a passion for snow skiing, and luckily for them, they live right down the mountain from Taos Ski Valley (I may be a little bit jealous!). Their Taos New Mexico wedding was such a special treat for me!
My husband made the trip to Taos with me as well as our kiddos, so we could enjoy some fun just before Christmas! We did some shopping, enjoyed the local fare, and had a blast watching our children play at Twirl. If you’re ever in Taos and need somewhere for your kids to get their energy out, I highly suggest spending some time there! Thanks to Emily’s suggestion, our kids had the best time!
Emily told me early on that she wanted to incorporate her love for the ski valley views on her wedding day, and boy, did she!
Emily and Seth chose the Snakedance Condominium Hotel to host their family and friends, as well as themselves. Their views of the ski valley were amazing- you could almost reach out and touch the fresh powder.
For their first look, we drove further up the mountain and found a spot that boasted some serious views. The sun wasn’t too keen on being out during that time, so it was chilly! But that only made Seth and Emily cuddle up even more. It was so sweet to see Seth lay eyes on his bride. She was a sight to be seen, no question!
Their ceremony took place at their home church in town, but after the vows were said, their family and friends trekked back up the mountain for dinner and cocktails at the amazing Hotel St. Bernard.
It was one of the most romantic settings I’ve ever photographed. The lighting was dim, the fire was roaring, and the candles were aglow. I can’t imagine a more perfect end to this mountain event.
Seth and Emily are absolutely wonderful and they were such a delight to photograph. I was honored to serve them in the very best way I know how!
